Way of English Talking

I have to say very excellently English. In the famous schools and colleges of the country, reading to the best English teachers, I will not be able to speak English fluently, this is what is supposed to happen. But in reality, it is not. The way to become fluent in English was not as smooth as getting the highest marks in the examination book. The reason is straightforward. Those of us who study in the Bengali medium is very good at grammar and vocabulary; When I speak English, I get stuck. Everything is very neatly arranged in my head, and if I can write, I can write page after page. But to put it bluntly, the charge is getting empty. If you open your mouth, maybe the sound is not coming out.

1. Think in English:

When we speak in English, we don't think in Bengali what to say first. Then I translate it into English in my mind and then say it in English. As a result, we kept coming and going in Bengali and English again and again. For that reason, words do not have fluency.

So, we have to think in English. Not just time to talk. Anytime. Whenever we think of something in our minds, we have to try to think in English.\

2. Speaking alone:

If you can get into the habit of thinking in English when there is no one around; Tell yourself those thoughts. When you can hear yourself in your ears, you can catch your own mistakes. And every time during practice, you will realize how much fluency has increased than before.

3. Don't worry too much about grammar:

The biggest problem with speaking English is grammar. There Is no problem with grammar. I can write in perfect grammar. But in fact, the grammar is going wrong. And that's when we stop. Worry too much about grammar during practice. Are we going wrong? Come on! Grammar mistakes will decrease as time goes on. But, if we stop talking about grammar, fluency will never come.

 4. Listening to a lot of English:

I have learned a lot more from watching English movies and series than I have learned from reading English books. TV series and films have increased my English vocabulary but also made it easier to speak English. And after watching this series or movie, I realized that there are some different words in English. If you interpret them in Bengali, you will see that nothing can be understood. They are more expressions than words or sentences. And the use of these expressions when speaking in English makes our terms more melodic. So, lots of English series and movies to watch.
